What is a human bug and QA review?

A human QA review is a structured walkthrough of your product by real users who actively look for broken functionality, UI glitches, edge-case failures, and inconsistencies across flows.

It covers visible interface bugs, broken interactions, unexpected error states, missing validations, cross-browser inconsistencies, and flow-level failures - documented with steps to reproduce and severity.

Unlike scripted automated testing, human QA is exploratory. Reviewers take unexpected paths, enter unusual inputs, and interact with your product the way real users do - which is exactly how real bugs get discovered.

Why automated tests are not enough

Automated tests verify what you programmed them to verify. They do not test what users actually do - the wrong input, the back-button mid-flow, the screen size your CSS did not account for, the sequence your happy-path tests never hit.

Studies consistently show that 20–40% of production bugs are discovered by real users, not automated test suites. Most of those bugs were present before release.
